Its Cindy’s Voice Podcast

Cindy’s Voice Podcast is all about the belief that I have that getting trafficked will be harder if everyone knows about it. We aim for raising awareness about human trafficking and sexual assault. I am a certified Sex Trafficking Survivor and I have to thrived from almost seven years of slavery. I believe that if you live through something that marked your life is your moral obligation as a human being to talk about it so this won’t happen to another person. For years, I’ve been talking and meeting with some of the most incredible and inspiring Survivors around the country and you’re going to hear their stories right here, on The Cindy’s Voice Podcast!.

Pedophilia can sometimes be a taboo topic but had become a topic of increased interest, awareness, and concern for both the medical community and the public at large. Increased media exposure, new sexual offender disclosure laws, websites that list the names and addresses of convicted sexual offenders, politicians taking a “get tough” stance on sexual offenders, and increased investigations of sexual acts with children have increased public awareness about pedophilia. @cindysvoicepod

The Nordic Model approach to prostitution, also known as The Sex Buyer Law, decriminalizes all those who are prostituted, provides support services to help them exit, and makes buying people for sex a criminal offence, in order to reduce the demand that drives sex trafficking. This approach has now been adopted in Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Northern Ireland, Canada and many other countries.

So, does it works? What are the pros and cons of it? Had anything changed in the countries who adopted it? These are some of the questions we’ll be answering in this episode.

Studies finds that pornography is not simply a harmless endeavor that doesn’t affect anyone else. It actually changes the brain makeup of the individual looking at it. Pornography has a numbing effect on the individual, causing him or her to see others in a less empathetic manner. In fact, the individual comes to see others as merely objects, something to please him or her. Engaging in viewing pornography, either willingly or unwillingly, eventually leads one to inferior relationships with others, which is damaging to the well-being of that person and to others who know him.
